The Top Ten Things to Do in Drumheller

10. The Royal Tyrell Museum; It's a classic. It's what everybody thinks of when they talk about Drumheller. And there's a reason. The Tyrell Museum is a great place! There's a ton of sweet exhibits, including a new one that is pretty kicking. Go check it out!

9. Count all of the dinosaurs in Drumheller. Give them all names

8. Go to Bernie and the Boys Restaurant for a milkshake. Seriously.

7. Reptile World; Everybody likes a giant snake right? Well here's where you can find one! If you're not into snakes, there are also frogs, lizards, caimans, and even a great alligator. At the end, if you're lucky they might let you hold Brittany the snake.

6. Head down to Newcastle and play a game of Baseball in the park there.

5.Tune into 99.5 DrumFM. Have a dance party.

4. Go visit the Little Church. Perform a mock wedding. Then head across town and visit the Hoodoos.

3. Go hunting for dinosaur bones. If you can't find any, go down to the river and have a mud fight.

2. Go for a hike in the hills. Spend an afternoon or evening out there on your own.

1. Come to the Canadian Badlands Passion Play!

A Poem for the New Season

Listen here to my story, Of how we tell the Father's Glory
Through the Badlands Passion Play, The Gospel shared our own special way.

We're back again for year seventeen, So we, with you, can share our scene.
The Romans, Jews and Gentiles all, All over this wondrous stage do crawl
They come from far, they come from near, From different places, but one thing's clear;
They each have come to share with you, the story that split time in two.

Come one, come all to see our show, And with us make the Jordan flow,
The temple grand, behold it's splendour, The Virgin's love, so meek, so tender.

With Matthew and fair Magdalene, Step back in time to a lake serene,
When the storm tossed boat stood no chance, was somehow saved by the Saviour's glance,
And the storm was calmed by a single man, whom the clouds obeyed when he raised his hand.
And witness then up on a tree, the love God has for you and me.

Here for six days this July, come laugh, and sing, and dance and cry,
Come to Drumheller and join us then, the Year of our Lord, two thousand ten.
Encounter Christ in an authentic way, may you know him more, for this we pray.
And may you further know God's glory, when you here see the ageless story.

In reverent gladness,
JB
